At Immigrant Beyond Immigration we understand the challenges faced by Spanish-speaking Latinos in the United States. Whether they’ve recently arrived or have been here for years, navigating a new culture can be overwhelming. That’s why we created America 101: The Whole Shebang! – a comprehensive program designed to help immigrants understand how everything works in America, from healthcare and finances to education, civics, and US culture.

What Makes America 101 The Whole Shebang! Different?
Contrary to most Welcome to America trainings, our program is not only for newly arrived immigrants, but it is designed to grow with the immigrant and their families. We have combined our experiences as immigrants and educators to develop a program that reaches Latinos in three ways:
- Virtual Learning: Our core program offers an immersive virtual learning experience. Through online videos, we provide valuable information and answer common questions, all in simple, culturally relevant Spanish. Accessible from anywhere, our content grows with you and your family, ensuring you have the knowledge you need as your needs change over time.
- Supportive Community: Participants join our local Facebook groups to connect with fellow Latinos, create a network of support, engage in monthly live sessions with experts who address the most common questions, and find guidance from others who have shared experiences. Together, we can navigate the challenges of life in the United States and support each other’s journey.
- In-person Workshops: Our America 101 for Communities program offers a hybrid approach. In addition to the online videos and Facebook groups, we host in-person workshops that dive deeper into topics relevant to the Latino community. These workshops provide opportunities for meaningful discussions and connections with local partners and experts.
